TRACE is a minimal score-chasing puzzle game about controlling two mirrored traces across a single geometric field.
One set of controls moves both.
What begins as a simple exercise in movement quickly becomes a problem of space, timing, symmetry, obstruction, and consequence. Every line you leave behind changes what remains possible.
TRACE is designed for short runs, quick restarts, and the inevitable feeling that the next attempt could go just a little further.
Inspired by the experimental era of early computer games and electronic test equipment, TRACE strips the experience down to primitive geometry, procedural tones, a black field, and a handful of rules that are meant to be learned by playing rather than explained in advance.
No tutorial.
No upgrade tree.
No inventory.
No map.
Just two traces, one control, and the field.

Install instructions
Download and extract TRACE-1.0.0-windows.zip, then run TRACE.exe.
No installation or additional software is required.
TRACE is currently available for 64-bit Windows.
Because TRACE is an independently distributed application and is not digitally code-signed, Windows SmartScreen may display a warning on first launch. If this occurs, choose “More info” and then “Run anyway” if you downloaded TRACE from the official Echoform Studio itch.io page.
